Beans Fall On Brazil

Amongst a wide variety of other foodstuffs, beans rained down in Joao Pessoa, Brazil, in the summer of 1971. Salvador Targino, on whose farm they fell, thought that they might have come across the Atlantic from west Africa, but it proved difficult to test the theory because he boiled the beans for dinner.
